Today, while working in the livingroom, Ty threw a couple things out of his area. He went to pick up a little yellow ball that goes to a toy that Steve, an excoworker gave to him. As soon as he picked it up, I said "No, that's enough. Stop throwing out your toys." His head turned sideways ever so slightly, kind of like a dog when they are puzzled by something. Then he dropped the ball and said something in baby talk. A short while later he was going to throw out something else. I repeated somewhat the same message and he stopped. Recent texts, literature and articles say that the more you talk to a baby, the more they will understand. They get frustrated and fussy when they can't communicate with you because of their language skills. I'm just wondering how many times, how many days, we are going to have to remind Ty not to throw out his toys before it clicks and he stops doing it. I will admit though that it has gotten better and it seems like he doesn't do it as much... Although each day is different.
Well, I know he understands you when u tell him things. Like a dog? Hmmm I totally pictured that although the comparison isn't so nice hee hee
